Updated from Yardie Creek Ningaloo Reef WA
Bright and early today Annie cooked a HUGE breakfast after all, it IS our first wedding Anniversary!! Went for a boat cruise along the Yardie Creek Gorges..Scenery absolutely brilliant (have a look at the Photos),Back to base..this place is great, after re organizing our Motor Home & an afternoon nanna nap we went along to the nightly happy hour session. A couple from New Zealand provided the entertainment and we sang along to the music they made…. Fantastic night!! Annie an me were invited to a Motorhome owned by Butch & his missus Jay for supper. The conversation was quite stimulating with Butch being a Pastor !! & me an Atheist !! Very Windy night !!seems very eerie at 3 am in complete darkness having a pee in the nudie !!! but it works FOUR days now without contact with the outside world !! ie Internet & Phone !!
This Place is Beautiful !!
We packed up earlish and left for Cape Range National Park on the Ningaloo Reef line I cheekily asked if any reductions for pensioners !! There is !! reduced from $12 nightly to $5 !! what a bonus !
We were given a Bay 20 metres from the sea!! The scenery is magnificent SO much we have decided to stay extra days .WE aer advised by the camp Ranger Happy time is held at 5 pm & it was great ! around a dozen people attended all with different stories to tell Even wild Kangaroos came inquisitevly close enought to have their pic taken !! Needless to see I got a little tipsy on Cider !! and the night was rather windy I was pleased with me & Anns effort at securing the Satelite dish!!! Watching TV in the middle of the outback is very interesting (Didnt want to miss Doc Martin !!)

spent the day discovering Exmouth coast .saw a wrecked ship and a bonus was a pod of whales leaping about !! Naturally I didn’t have a camera !! Invested in a bit of luxury & bought a TV satellite dish so that we can view TV anywhere in Oz The bloke we bought it off was great & he set it up for us I actually know how to use a compass now ( setting the satellite up) as we were waiting a bloody big Emu ‘strolled’ by !! Annie fed it some bread..Evening saw us visiting the local RSL club Sadly only a handful of people there, BUT great conversationalist ! Tomorrow we travel around the Exmouth Peninsula reef. Pictures will follow when we get internet access … Geoff n Annie
It just gets better every day
Up early around 8.30 ish and off to Carnarvon at this ppoint I thought my medication script had not been issued More later …We drove on to a Filling Station known as The Overlander !! bit of breakfast & a brew Fill up Diesel and away we go to Carnarvon !! Afte finding the Hospital and filling in numerous forms for my script mentioned earlier I found the Medication needed in my Tablet Box…Red faced I humbly apologises to the Triage nurse & Receptionist who had a giggle at my expese Then off to local supermarket for food stocks ( I hate parking the Big Bus in car parks) a very short look ar Carnarvon ( my fault ) and we headed towards Coral Bay & presently parked in a freebie named Minila River Campsite ) Tea will be BBQ outside the bus made on portable Gas stove !!
