First Day in Katherine NT Ive tried to add a bit of music too

when we are ready Bloody great
from Western Australia to the Northern Territory
we crossed over the border into NT within ONE hour we spotted a Dingo crossing the road.a snake was crawling along the grass verge on route, a HUGE eagle flew overhead & I had my first contact with the NT Police !! Yes I was breathalysed around 10 am WA time The police were ever so nice tho & its interesting to note the speed limit in NT is 130 but only 110 in WA this country is so diverse with its different restrictions and rules n the different states !! Strangely I can play the pokies here (One armed Bandits) in pubs & clubs? BUT in WA the Burswood Casino is the only place that is licensed to use the Machines !! Oh well we are off to the local RSL ( British Legion equivalent ) for meal and a Pokie Gamble !!
Our travels throught Western Australia have been fantastic.Met some lovely,lovely people Seen some absolutely amazing sights and we will tour again in the future.We are near the border and our clocks will be put forward 90 minutes Hopefully we still have many more advenyures to come and lots of new people to meet Lake Argyle I have gathered some information for those who like to know have a looksee

We headed further North today to Lake Argyle. First impression were what a dried u hot place !! we signed in for 1 night. Got our site and wandered around WOW !!a swimming pool on top of a mountain with spectacular views The pictures tell it all. More excitement ? there is a pub on site !! A short drive to the mighty Ord River Dam was exhilarating !!SO much water all the because of mans ingenuity !! we had dinner in the small pub restaurant and was joined by an old Australian guide & quite a character We returned to our bus and the next door neighbours came & had a drink with us We chatted much about nothing for a couple of hours I’m loving this meeting different people daily and listening to their life histories. Fascinating! No signal for Internet here tho & it doesn’t take much to please u SO we have booked an extra 2 nights Never judge a Book by its cover eh? Stay tuned !!!
