1770 (it really is a village name)is next to Agnes Water and for visitors is very much one unit. Agnes Water is the northern most surfing beach in Queensland.This little town with the highly unusual name is an environmentalist’s dream as it is home to an abundance of flora and fauna that remains virtually unscathed by modern development 770 was named after the year in which Captain James Cook landed there in the Endeavour.
