Bundaburg and Rum
Today we ventured over to he Rum Brewery in Bundaberg and did the obligatory tour .It is a massive factory and bottles are churned out in their thousands by the day!! One particular employee sits in front of passing bottles and checks for bottle cracks zzzzzzzzz I have been to quite a few brewereies in the UK during my past work as a working mans club secretary and for free ! Here it costs $25 and NOT (in my case) very impressive AND as for the finished product I personally find it revolting and discreetly disposed of the samplings !!Apparently 97% of sales is within Australia !! We venture into a caravan park and the site of it was disgusting SO we travelled approx 50 KMs into the country side and stayed in a lovely site situated on the Burnette River
Weather in Hervey Bay
The rain let us know it was here hit very quickly ! The pre storm clouds were awesome and very colourful. We have a 10 litre water bottle that filled up within minutes (tastes really good too with the added bonus of being FREE!!) Just before the storm a variety of birds gathered around for a free feed ( pity we humans don’t assimilate as easily !) Although we sat outside under the awning watching the rain it was quite warm and a couple of beers added to the ambiance. An evening well spent
