The Scarecrows of Middleton
The Scarecrows of Middleton competition is held annually on the first Saturday of February, south of Hobart in Tasmania ‘in the heart of Scarecrow Country’. There are scarecrows on fences in paddocks and up trees — lavishly and humorously attired. Visitors to the fair are invited to vote for their favourites, which in the past have ranged from donkey carts to pirates. It was a great day spent looking for ?hidden” scarecrows and traffic behind me weren’t impressed by my constant stopping and starting the bus in the hunt for more Scarecrows We only managed to spot a few and judging day they all will be on display at the country fair hels in Middleton Sadly we don’t have time to hang around coz we still have so much more to see in this fascinating Island and just 6 more tourist days left !!! Because of the large amount of photos I will place them in a slide show
