Bothwell Tasmania
We passed thru a lovely little village type called Bothwell and we were impressed so much with this idy litle place we stayed 2 nights and of course sampled the Pub (Castle) and met the local councillor (dressed in shorts and thongs !! for Pomms Thongs in Australia are flip flops in UK NOT a G string !!) What’s special about Bothwell? Home to the oldest golf course in the Southern Hemisphere. More than 50 stone cottages, houses and official buildings.Home to the Australasian Golf Museum. Guns can also be purchased here,hunters shoot deer an Kangaroo & Wallabies in the “off” season I had cause to visit the local Doctor who is available 2pm 5pm weekdays It was just like being part of A Country Practice !! Brilliant
