Tromso day 10 in Norway
Up early and after a quick breakfast (Docked in Tromso) we boarded the bus for a four hour island tour to Somer island and as usual the scenery was magnificent !! In a very large underground tunnel there were actually road round abouts throwing the tunnel roads in all directions to save congestion in the city !! Interesting fact we learnt today as we passed the shrimp factory The shells of shrimps are used in ladies cosmetics !! Tromso is a fascinating town boasting the further most pub/brewery and differnet denomination Churches On return we sat in The Crows Nest until the ship set sail and what a wonderous time !! The captain steered thru some amazing Fjords,on the cold side BUT we were not to be deterred ! We are gradually sailing South but the nights continue in daylight for 24 hrs !!After dinner we watched the 2 violinists girls and once again they were quite entertaining.Later we ventured to the 60/70 s dance party and the dancing buggared me up (and I was only spectating ¬!!) Time is moving very quickly now we are on the downward run..TONIGHT IT IS VERY WINDY AND THE SEAS ARE DESCRIBED AS :ROUGH:
Sea Day Norwegian Coast 11
11..Day at Sea laid back day taking in 2 movies,dance shows cancelled due to high seas ,very restful day one film was about Maggie Thatcher and I personally think it was very derogatory (probably cos an American acted her part) I will include some of the cakes provided on a daily basis NO wonder Im gettin fatter !!
Another fun filled Day at Sea
9 Had a lie in till 9.30 am and woke with avery sniffy nose..after breakfast we ambled off to the Chaplain Cinema to watch Salmon Farm in the Yemini and it was quite good…The day is spent at sea today Pre dinner and we watched The Headliners performing music and Dance to Queen and it was brilliant ! After dinner we sat and watched comedian/singer Maurice Grumbleweed altho not bad ,his first perfprmance a few days ago was better
