Kids and their Pedal Machines
Annie and her sister went to Maryboro (approx 30kms from home) to watch senior school kids race their pedal carts. Some of them looked very futuristic and reached speeds of up to 140 kms per hour just by pedal power alone. All work was done by the kids and some of them look really good and had super designs.Annie was impressed by the skills shown by these very pleasant kids and turned out to be a spectacular event which is held annually .The bus is now ready for the road and we will be of on a short adventure commencing saturday
Urangan Pier Fun Day Hervey Bay Qld
The pier is about 5 minutes away from where we live and this Sunday gone, roads were closed in the area so a Save the Pier fun day could be held. The area was full of little stall and lots of food tents were the order of the day ( The HOT chips is specially for Annie as she is addicted to them !) A couple of bands were playing and were not bad to listen to.Kids were provided with lots of amusements including a Magician who clearly had everything up his sleeve !!The tide was in and a full on fishing competition was on the go for most of the day ( we didn’t stay long enough for the winner!) Proceeds from the day go to keep the pier in pristine condition which is a big draw card for visitors and locals alike. The old fella with the coloured wig has collected $20000 for charity this year simple just by looking like he does !! Great stuff…The day was great with no fear of traffic and everyone enjoying all the mostly free activities.Next week we are off to an RV raleigh for over a week down south in a mid town called Boonah
